Real Madrid v. Inter Milan

We developed a promotional campaign surrounding the first men’s soccer game at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo. The city was thrilled to host European soccer giants, Real Madrid and F.C. Internazionale (Inter Milan).

While grass went down on the floor, we wanted to take advantage of the robust flavors from the regions of each team. We worked with Modesto’s executive chef, Carlos Hernandez, and Josh Charles, chef de cuisine at Elaia and Olio. Reporter Heidi Glaus talked with both gents during a delicious demo. Both restaurants shared the ingredients and preparation live and online for viewers to preview and experiment at home.

We added a competitive edge over at Fox 2 as Carlos and Josh battled it out with a little competition of their own. Not only did they demo two different dishes from the respective regions, it came down to a coin toss because news personality John Pertzborn assured viewers both were fantastic. We also put together a giveaway. The package included two tickets to the Real Madrid vs. Inter Milan soccer match and dinner for two at Modesto. Every time patrons wined or dined  at Modesto they were entered to win. It was a great opportunity to promote a new happy hour menu they recently launched.

We had a lot of fun with both restaurants and it was nice to put a different spin on a historical first for St. Louis.
