I had no problem getting my husband to join me for this event. We put together a launch party with beer and tapas pairings at Modesto Tapas Bar & Restaurant with our friends at The Civil Live Brewing Company and Sauce Magazine. The St. Louis microbrewery re-released its British Best. It was our first experience with session beers. They have a lower alcohol content without losing the punch we expect and enjoy in a good beer. It was the perfect fit with tapas. A few highlights: The beers – all excellent. British Best Vienna...

In the spirit of #TBT, here’s an event we put together under a tight timeline for St. Louis hip hop artist Allen Gates. It was a release party for his album, The Track Meet. Check out this video by the talented Joel Anderson: The venue, Moto Europa, was the sexiest backdrop with Ducati and Triumph motorcycles. The cocktails were provided by Pearl Vodka. We created a signature cocktail after his hit song (charted #9 in the nation!) Movie Star. The energy was insane and it was definitely one of our favorite nights out in St. Louis. Be...

“the letter you write…is always a mirror which reflects your appearance, taste, and character.” -Emily Post Like fashion and food, we consider a handwritten letter  –  art.  A written note is tasteful and a handwritten “thank you” – especially so. Not only does it showcase a certain level of gratitude – its authenticity leaves a lasting impression. We recently received a note from another Emily in our lives, Emily Brown at Radio Disney AM 1260. Emily hosts and produces Caring is Cool, a show that hits airwaves bright and...

We’ve been hard at work rounding up restaurants for St. Louis’ first annual Hunger For More event. Throughout the season of Lent, local restaurants are participating in Hunger For More, an initiative to raise awareness and engage the community around the issues of hunger and poverty in South St. Louis City. Each restaurant is donating a percentage of sales one day per week February 13 through March 30 to Isaiah 58 Ministries. We’re thrilled to receive recognition by Sauce Magazine’s Edible Weekend! This is one of...
